Health Specialist, Malaria (Fixed-Term, NO-C level, IMIS 43788)

Summary of the Post:
Under the general supervision of the Chief of Health and Nutrition, the incumbent will coordinate the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Malaria in Pregnancy Programme in linkage with the Safe Motherhood projects. Also will work closely with the US-CDC-seconded malaria technical expert to be stationed at the National Malaria Control Programme.
QUALIFICATIONS:

· Advanced University Degree in Health Sciences, Master in Public Health preferable
· Five (5) years of professional working experience in related fields of community development in Mother and Child Health care. Some knowledge of malaria desirable.
· Ability to write good reports.
· Level of decision making.
· Can be relied upon to provide up to date professional expertise to the Field Offices in his or her sector and to leverage this expertise successfully to meet the goals of UNICEF.
· Must be able to demonstrate the requisite aptitudes and experience for developing, managing, monitoring and evaluating health programmes.
· Technical understanding of health project including knowledge of latest development and technology.
· Current knowledge of development issues, policies as well as social programming policies and procedures in international development cooperation.
· Good computer application skills.
· Good analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills.
· Training ability.
· Proven ability to conceptualize, develop, plan and manage programme as well as to transfer knowledge and skills.
· Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required.

Proyek Percepatan Pembangunan Daerah Tertinggal dan Khusus (Support for Poor And Disadvantaged Areas

sebagai Konsultan Manajemen Kabupaten Bidang Kesehatan (Health Specialist) di
Kabupaten Flores Timur, NTT. Program ini mendorong keterlibatan perempuan di
dalamnya.
KONSULTAN MANAJEMEN KABUPATEN
(KM-KAB) bertugas melakukan pendampingan terhadap Tim Koordinasi P2DTK
Kabupaten dan memberi dukungan teknis kepada pelaku-pelaku program P2DTK
lainnya di kabupaten untuk menjamin pelaksanaan program sesuai dengan
prinsip-prinsip dan mekanisme Program P2DTK.
Persyaratan:
1. Pendidikan minimal S1 dengan pengalaman minimal
3 (tiga) tahun;
2. Latar belakang pendidikan Kesehatan Masyarakat atau sejenis untuk Health
Specialist;
3. Memiliki pengalaman dalam pendampingan
masyarakat, penguatan kapasitas masyarakat, pelatihan partisipatif, mediasi, dan
pengembangan jaringan kerja;
4. Lebih diutamakan yang memiliki pengalaman dalam
program-program pemberdayaan masyarakat;
5. Tidak sedang aktif sebagai Pegawai Negeri Sipil
(PNS);
6. Bersedia untuk tinggal di kabupaten lokasi

We are seeking a Project Officer to support a malaria study sponsored by
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and managed by ALERTAsia Foundation, a
local private, registered not-for-profit foundation in Jakarta,
Indonesia, committed to supporting research, training and education in
the field of emerging and endemic infections in Southeast Asia.

The ideal candidate will be thoroughly knowledgeable of Indonesian
regulations and laws regarding the operations and management of
not-for-profit foundations and has experienced in managing research
project activities. Minimum qualifications include formal training
and/or certification in accounting or management preferably with an
advanced degree. More than 5 years experience managing the budgets and
personnel of not-for-profit organizations within Indonesia, and has
fluency in English. A knowledge in scientific or educational endeavors
would be advantageous. This position is open to any qualified person,
regardless of nationality, race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation.
